Behind the Scenes with IROCO Design: Bringing Original European Furniture to Hong Kong

IROCO Design: Making Good Design Available

Chances are you’ve come across IROCO Design’s pieces. The company promotes original European designs by offering them for rent or sale, supplying events like the International Design Furniture Fair HK (IDFFHK), Art Basel Hong Kong, and private parties for Veuve Clicquot and Moët et Chandon.

IROCO Design was founded by Alex Henrich and his wife Sonia Jackson, the CEO. Alex noticed the lack of authentic European design pieces and quality furniture at events in Hong Kong, where often replicas or disposable items were used. To fill this gap, they began offering iconic, mid-century classics and contemporary creations, attracting clients such as Louis Vuitton, The Peninsula Hotels, and Goldman Sachs.

Ahead of Hong Kong Indesign, Sonia Jackson shares insights about IROCO Design.

Who is IROCO Design?
IROCO Design makes original, beautiful designs accessible across Asia for events, homes, and hospitality—available for rent or sale. Their services include creative event furniture solutions and tailored sourcing for architects, interior designers, hotels, and restaurants. They represent exclusive brands like Canadian MOLO Design and Italian brands Slide and Pedrali, with offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Tokyo.

What’s planned for Hong Kong Indesign?
At Indesign, IROCO will showcase MOLO Design, known for sensory exploration and innovation blending art, architecture, and design. They will launch the MOLO softwall + softblock—a modular, flexible wall system that expands, contracts, and connects seamlessly with magnets. It allows customized, freestanding partitions that can be stacked or stretched, making it perfect for dynamic workspaces. The softwall is even part of the MoMA permanent collection.

Why MOLO?
As workspaces evolve, MOLO’s foldable, easy-to-install walls and modular seating offer flexible solutions for hot-desking and adaptable office layouts.

Alongside MOLO, IROCO will feature Italian brands Slide, specialists in illuminated furniture, and Pedrali, popular in the contract market.
